Kadoma boasts Legacy Tv award winners

Perseverance and dedication to the dictates of his party
paid off for staunch ruling party cadre, comrade Lenin Samhembere who walked away with the General
Lookout Masuku Consistency Award (Mashonaland West province) at the second
edition of the Legacy Empowerment Awards.
The awards ceremony was held at a venue in the capital as
last year inched towards the end.
The awards were put together by a local media house, Legacy
Tv in recognition of the ruling ZANU PF cadres who have shone like beacons in
various areas of operation.
Kadoma based Cde Lenin Samhembere, popularly known as Cde
Lenny, is the national political commissar of the para-political grouping,
Children of Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association.
"This is to confirm that you have been nominated for
the Lookout Masuku Consistency Award at the Legacy Empowerment Awards 2022.
"Celebrating the General Lookout Masuku`s legacy by
rewarding an individual who has been outstanding in keeping the ethos and
ethics of the party. An individual who has shown consistent love for the party,
mobilization, marketing government policies, mass education and total
dedication in safeguarding the legacy of Zimbabwe," reads the award
citation.
Cde Samhembere, who received a certificate and a shield, is
highly indebted to the media house for the honor and said that he would keep on
working hard for the good of the country.
"I want to deeply thank Legacy Tv for the award. They
have done this after introspecting our efforts as children of war veterans in
preserving the gains of independence. Our aim is to preserve the rich legacy
and heritage of our country. We also wish to continue mobilizing the people to
remain patriotic and stay focused on championing national development."
The awards reception was running under the theme, `Patriotism,
the key to prosperous sustainable development towards Vision 2030`.
The grand award on the day, The Munhumutapa Legacy Award was
given to the ruling ZANU PF party First Secretary and President Cde Dr Emmerson
Mnangagwa. First Vice President Cde Constantino Guvheya Chiwenga received the
Chaminuka (The Great Protector) Legacy Award. His counterpart Second Vice
President Rtd. Col. Cde Kembo Campbell Dugishi Mohadi was decorated with the
Induna Matshe Legacy Award.
Party national chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri
received the Nehanda Nyakasikana Legacy Award.
Various other awards categories were handed over to
decorated recipients, at the colorful ceremony.
These include the Robson Manyika Commissariat Award which
went to Cde Elijah Tambala, SB Moyo Legacy Award, Perrence Shiri Hurudza Legacy
Award in Agriculture, Border Gezi Youth Legacy Award and Nathan Shamuyarira
Information Award.
Legacy Tv executive director, Pardon Mangwende hinted on an
expanded category sheet with more recipients expected grace the podium, on
their next event.
"We`re hosting a much improved, bigger and better 2nd
edition of the Legacy Tv Empowerment Awards. This year`s edition, read 2022
edition, has seen an expanded awards pool, with more categories having been
added to recognize individuals and organizations who have remained dedicated
and loyal to the cause."
