NO BIBLE VERSE IS AGAINST POLYGAMY

A top theologian and Reverend based in Kenya has stirred controversy by declaring that polygamy is a holy practice, that needs to be embraced in order to save multitudes of women who are ageing, even in churches, without husbands.

Rev Vincent Mulwa has come out guns blazing and is of the strong opinion that the bible does not in any terms, prohibit the practice of polygamy.

The Reverend claimed that before the missionaries came to Africa, polygamy was not a condemned practice and the missionary teachings were self-made opinions that were only meant to distort the lifestyles of the indigenous Africans.

His way of thinking is also supported by the biblical teachings of the Old Testament, in which most men were polygamists.

The issue here in Zimbabwe is a topical one and it always attracts sharp contrasting views, with some vapostori churches like Johane Marange, heavily engaged in the practice of marrying more than one wife.

Most Pentecostal churches don`t support polygamy and always refer to some verses from the New Testament, from the bible to rubbish polygamy.
