Veteran musician releases new album
Kadoma Bureau Chief
Sungura exponent Jindarume Fidza Matsveru, popularly known
as Fidza in the music circles, says he is ready to release his latest offering
titled, `Bhora Redombo`.
The new album carries six tracks namely, _Kuvhara- vhara,
Dziva rina makarwe, Ndofira mumoyo here? Mazirudo ndamirira, Dururai nyasha and
Vaititarisira pasi._
The message central to the album is for people never to
despise anyone`s hustle, at the same time, underlining hardship associated with
success.
Some of the songs may have a slightly different slant, as
explained by the burley musician in an interview. In Dziva rina makarwe, Fidza
says it is about never wishing misfortune on someone, as their loss is not your
benefit.
He dropped a soft message through, Mazirudo ndamirira, as he
drives home the concept of toiling in life in order to provide enough as a
means towards winning the love of one`s life.
He footnotes his album with divine intervention by asking
for God`s hand in our lives through, Dururai nyasha.
The heavily built guitarist has four albums under his belt,
namely, Ndangariro, Rudo vaviri, Vatsengi vematovo and Garahunzwana.
"It is daunting to work in the music industry when one
is ill equipped. There is a plethora of challenges in the game. At least on my
side, l have musical instruments but, it is transport that is a challenge. We
normally ask partners to provide transport when we go for shows," Fidza
said.
He has worked with many prominent musicians in the country
including man of the moment Mark Ngwazi, potential filled Simon Mutambi, jit
sensation Baba Harare, dendera stalwart Alan Chimbetu and many more.
He is humbled by the support he always receives from his
multitude of followers drawn from different sections of society and age groups.
"I`m getting support from a number of stakeholders.
Mudhara Jimayi Muduvuri has done a lot for me because he has been extending a
venue for live performances for us and other bands."
He acknowledges the support from his fans, as well.
"I do thank our fans for the support they do give me
and my band. They actually ask for more from us, whenever we perform before
them, which is a great source of motivation."
Top of his wish list is to be acknowledged worldwide, as `Jindarume
Fidza Matsveru, a renowned musician.`
He said the upcoming album is a scorcher and promised his
followers that most of the songs are danceable tunes, that will keep them on
the dance floor.
He promised his fans that
he commits himself to releasing one or more albums, in each year, as way of
thanking his fans for their unwavering support for his music.
