Manchester Utd suffered their worst defeat in 92 years when they were thrashed 7-0 by a seemingly resurgent Liverpool side.

Doubles from, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, and a single strike from Firmino all gave Liverpool a surprise huge win over their arch rivals who had enjoyed an 11-match unbeaten run, in all completions.

The opening first half was a tightly contested affair with Liverpool grabbing the opener just before the break through Gakpo.

Jurgen Klopp`s men were at their best in the second half, running riot and scoring six goals, in a memorable period for the Reds.

Salah, the Egyptian talisman was at his best, as he made an assist and came up with two sublime goals of his own, before making another crucial assist.

The Egyptian also put himself in the history books by becoming Liverpool`s highest scorer in the Premier League with a total of 128 goals.

Liverpool is now fifth on the table, with 42 points and Man Utd are on third.
