POLITICAL PARTIES SHOULD EMBRACE INTERNAL DEMOCRACY
Democracy is defined as a system of government or
organization in which the citizens or members choose leaders or make other
important decisions by voting.
Democratic is also derived from democracy and it is a word
used when relating to a country, organization, or system in which leaders are
chosen or decisions are made by voting.
These above explicit definitions seem not to exist in the
dictionaries of CCC citizens who have been advised to shun internal voting
processes, but being told to do so at the national stage.
This just stinks of hypocrisy and citizens, of the CCC
version should know that true citizens should not forfeit their basic rights to
vote for leaders of their choice.
Voting is an open process that after its conclusion, has its
results reflecting the will of the people.
The will of the people should not be subverted through using
rhetoric that is shallow and malicious, both at party level and national level.
The `CCC citizens` should not be deprived of their right to
express their will, internally in CCC and externally, that is in harmonized
elections.
As shown by the serious preparations being made by
government, the stage is set for free and fair elections in which the true
citizens should not vote for handpicked councilors whom most of them are
illiterate and can not even interpret articles in the urban councils act.
Members of parliament who always enjoy easy passage to the
august house should this time around be given the boot, through not voting for
them since they have proven that they come in as chancers and chancers will
never take seriously their responsibilities, when elected into parliament.
The masses should not be taken for a ride and hoodwinked to
elect a President who has no respect for his own party and ignores the virtues
of internal party democracy.
The electoral process is a journey that has to be undertaken
from the starting and up to the finishing line.
Every political organization that values and observes the
dictates of democracy should allow its members to elect its party leaders, and
candidates for elections, through voting processes.
